Welcome to Ear Training!

This tool is designed to help you practice recognizing musical intervals. Here's how to use it:

• Each row represents a specific musical interval, such as Unison, Minor 2nd, Major 3rd, etc.
• Words in " " is where that interval happens
• The "Ascending Songs" column contains songs that demonstrate the interval in an ascending direction.
• The "Descending Songs" column contains songs that demonstrate the interval in a descending direction.
• Click on the song name to listen to the song example on YouTube.
• Click on the play button to listen to the audio example for each interval.
• By default, the audio will loop continuously. Press the "Loop" button to toggle looping on and off as needed.
• Use the information provided, including the number of half steps, to train your ear for different intervals.
• You can create your own list of interval songs that's familiar to you. Use the worksheet given in class an an guide.
• Just like learning any skill, developing your ear for music takes time. Enjoy the process, have fun, and practice regularly
